Designed for participants of all ages, this thematic tour offers a unique opportunity to step into the shoes of recruits as you follow the journey led by a fictional platoon sergeant. Throughout the experience, you’ll gain valuable insights into the various functions and operational capabilities of the Singapore Armed Forces, as well as its critical role in safeguarding our nation.
The Army Experiential Programme offers an engaging, hands-on experience where participants can bond with fellow “recruits” through fun activities, gain insight into Singapore’s military facilities and defence strategies, and deepen their appreciation for the nation’s security efforts. With interactive elements like camo face painting, facility tours, film screenings, and an Army Lingo Quiz, participants will come away with a better understanding of military life and the unique culture within the armed forces.

Event Highlights:

1. Field Camp & Field Cooking Demo: Experience the basics of field life by participating in a simulated field camp! Learn about essential survival skills as you watch a demo of field cooking using basic supplies and tools, just like recruits in the field. Understand the importance of resourcefulness and teamwork when it comes to preparing food in challenging outdoor conditions.
2. Combat Rations Tasting: Take your taste buds on an adventure with our Combat Rations Tasting activity. Sample the various combat rations that keep our soldiers fueled during missions. This is a rare chance to try authentic field rations, showcasing the diverse and nutritious options designed for soldiers’ energy needs in the field.
