Sanrio-Oreo Mooncake Workshop (Friday, 6 September 2024)

Embark on a delightful adventure and discover the art of creating Sanrio-themed yummy mooncakes at our Sanrio-Oreo Mooncake Workshop! Children are invited to learn how to create this unique contemporary mooncake treat, just in time for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

In this workshop, the children will:

1. Learn more about the history and significance of Mid-Autumn Festival and mooncakes, particularly the different types of mooncakes that have become a modern twist of the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival treat.

2. Be a baker for a day as they dive into the mooncake-making process. Under guidance, they will learn to measure, mix and knead the mooncake dough, learning the process of creating the pastry shells.

3. Create their very own innovative oreo-flavoured mooncake fillings, while learning how to balance the flavour and texture to create a mooncake that is made by themselves – from scratch!

4. Package their handcrafted mooncakes in custom take-home boxes for them to enjoy with their family!

By the end of the workshop, the young bakers will not only have created their own unique mooncake masterpieces but also gained a deeper appreciation for the rich heritage and evolving traditions of this Mid-Autumn treat. It's a delightful way for them to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of this beloved festival while tapping into their baking skills.
