Through this meaningful enrichment experience, children will gain a deeper understanding of visual impairment through personal stories, lived experiences and valuable insights shared by a guest speaker with visual impairment from Dialogue in the Dark. They will discover the realities of navigating everyday life, challenge common stereotypes and gain a deeper appreciation of the strength, independence and capabilities of people with visual impairment.

The experience unfolds through a thoughtfully curated mix of interactive challenges, hands-on activities and eye-opening discoveries, as children learn about Braille, uncover accessibility features around Singapore and discover how assistive technologies help create a more inclusive world.

Most importantly, children will discover that empathy goes beyond simply understanding someone else's challenges. They will be encouraged to appreciate different perspectives, look beyond appearances and recognise how their everyday actions can make a meaningful difference.
